ELISpot's best friend

To make ELISpot plate reading effortless and reliable, we developed Mabtech ASTOR™ from the ground up. Built on decades of hands-on ELISpot experience, we knew the challenges researchers faced with traditional readers and set out to create a better solution.

Mabtech ASTOR™ 2 is our dedicated ELISpot reader – optimized for precision, ease of use, and consistent performance. Simply load the plate and press read. Our patented RAWspot™ algorithm ensures highly accurate spot center detection and counting, while the intuitive Mabtech Apex™ software delivers a seamless plug-and-play workflow.

With ASTOR 2, ELISpot analysis becomes simple, dependable, and exact – every time.

Anyone can play

Load your plate and press "read" – it's that simple.

Get more done

From acquisition to analyzed data in minutes – that's high throughput.

Loyal teammate

Helpful, trusty, and lovable – it’s ELISpot’s best friend

Detect every spot
Our readers identify distinct spots in a linear fashion without hitting a plateau. Based on signal processing, the algorithm provides objective results for immediate analysis. Every spot, no matter how small, big, faint, or distinct, is detected.

Why Mabtech ASTOR?

We love ELISpot, and we know that many of our customers do too. We built Mabtech ASTOR™ for all of us.

Mabtech ASTOR™ is the little brother to Mabtech IRIS™ and is based on the same framework. The readers are developed by Mabtech, together with top engineers, and include a novel spot-counting algorithm, RAWspot™ technology. This innovation combined with hardware and easy-to-use software gives optimal spot analysis instruments.

ASTOR (and IRIS) allow a streamlined workflow: No hassle with calibration or individual setup because the camera focus and XY table are automatic. The algorithm is based on signal processing and provides objective results for immediate analysis. Every spot, including the small ones can be detected and counted.

Having used other readers, I struggled with reproducibility even with my own protocols. With ASTOR, I am confident in performing analysis and achieving consistent results, even when letting colleagues analyze plates.
