Why Mabtech ELISA

Detect native proteins

We put considerable effort into characterizing our antibodies and finding a perfectly matched antibody pair. The use of monoclonal antibodies makes our ELISAs specific, reproducible, and sensitive. We don’t cut corners during assay development and always validate that our ELISAs recognize the native protein, i.e., those secreted from cells. This makes our ELISAs ready for the reality researchers are uncovering.

Prevent false-positive results

Our ELISAs are based on the sandwich ELISA format, which can be susceptible to interference from heterophilic antibodies. These antibodies may crosslink the capture and detection antibodies, potentially leading to false-positive results.

To minimize this risk, we developed a specialized sample dilution buffer, ELISA diluent, designed to reduce heterophilic antibody interference. This buffer is included in our ELISA Pro kits and is also available for separate purchase.

Clinical samples, particularly those with elevated rheumatoid factor, contain higher levels of interfering antibodies and are therefore at increased risk for false-positive signals. To address this, we offer ELISA PathRF kits, a specialized kit format engineered to provide enhanced resistance to heterophilic antibody interference in such challenging samples.
